We are in search of a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join the Compliance function at Intrum Group UK. In this role, you will take the lead in managing the 2nd Line regulatory compliance function. Your responsibilities will extend to providing the head of Compliance with the necessary support to ensure Senior Management and the entire business align with relevant standards, legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.

In addition you will be responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of critical frameworks, such as the SM&CR, Regulatory Reporting, Regulatory Compliance, Whistleblowing and Conflicts of Interest Frameworks.

The role will be based at either of our Manchester or Bolton offices combined with home working.

The role:

  • Act as a subject matter expert on industry compliance requirements, including regulatory changes and guidance on: FCA, FOS, GDPR & ICO, Ofcom, CSA, LSB and CCA
  • Management and oversight of critical frameworks, such as the SM&CR, Whistleblowing and Conflicts of Interest Frameworks
  • Management of compliance risks, providing solutions which underpin Intrum Group UK’s commitment to fair treatment of our customers
  • Leading the compliance team’s reporting initiatives (both internal, client and regulatory / FCA, where required)
  • Play an active role in raising regulatory, operational, and financial crime prevention awareness through training in the business
  • Complete a regular horizon scanning to identify any upcoming regulatory changes and ensure key business stakeholders are kept appropriately informed
  • Completion of regulatory due diligence on behalf of the business in respect of new debt purchase and account servicing initiatives, in order to confidently present and articulate assurances to senior stakeholders, or flag risks associated with prospective initiatives
  • Support, challenge and monitor the business in its delivery of Good Customer Outcomes through appropriate Consumer Duty governance arrangements, ensuring compliance with the regulatory Consumer Duty standards is maintained

About you:

  • Be effective in using and implementing business tools, systems and controls for analysing and monitoring regulatory risks
  • Knowledge of the financial services regulation and rules with particular focus on consumer credit, mortgage and collections areas
  • Demonstrate excellent standards of delivery of compliance best practice in a regulated business
  • Experience in relationship building when dealing with internal departments and clients; excellent stakeholder management skills required
  • Strong people skills – ability to influence, persuade, motivate and to challenge
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail

  • We will firstly review your application to see if you’re a good match to the role.
